X-Men Origins: Wolverine: A movie related game that will blow your mind
Despite the new Marvel comics film X-men Origins: Wolverine getting something of a lukewarm critical nod (not to mention a whole lot of anger from the hardcore comics diehards), the new Wolverine video game seems like it could almost be the finest comic book film game in a ludicrously long time. While fans watch the movie screwing with established continuity too much for some fans, the developers of the licensed X-men Origins: Wolverine movie video game have faced the challenge to get hold of the source material and devise something cool out of the dire mess of a film. They’ve done a pretty good job, too. The end results are there for you all to check out for yourself in the new Wolverine video game on the PS3, Xbox and Wii.
A Wolverine video game has never quite really managed to capture those unique characteristics that so many Marvel comics enthusiasts have loved for years. However, the official new X-men Origins: Wolverine video game does seem to hit the spot, which is very impressive seeing as the Wolverine film itself seems to have been a huge creative disaster. This could be a very rare occurrence indeed- a licensed video game that is actually much better than the product it is based upon.
One of the first things that you will take note of is the powerful combat system the game offers. It does capture some of the gut-churning action that being the Wolverine character would afford you. His mutant healing factor adds another element to proceedings too, and it is cool to see a mainstay of his comic book and movie persona rendered so well by the Wolverine video game writers. Logan’s attributes in this licensed Wolverine video game constantly regenerate as you get injured, but you’ll need to duck and hide a while if your energy gets too low.
With ever more fearsome villains to fight throughout the game, it becomes a more and more intense experience the more you play. With impressive graphics and audio, it does fling you into the middle of the action, and with so many X-Men comics characters turning up throughout this Wolverine video game, there is plenty to keep die-hard fans energized. Another great feature of the game-play is the ability to focus on certain aspects of Wolverine’s mutated senses by using your control pad, helping you spot prey, doors and more that you could otherwise miss.
As an overall gaming experience, the X-Men Origins: Wolverine video game is a huge success, giving you all the thrills of the Wolverine film with added aspects that the movie lacks. With clear, beautiful graphics and thumping sound design, the game really gets you inside the character and his superhuman rage, and is a exciting new addition to the roster of Marvel comics movies games. The new Wolverine video game is great, Bub.
