The fight for supremacy in the galaxy continues between humankind, the Flood and the Covenant. The newest Halo for Xbox brings the trilogy to an exciting conclusion and it is up to Earth’s defenders to save the planet. The fate of the whole galaxy rests in their hands as they combat their enemies and attempt to shut down the dangerous Halo network.

The fight to prevent the destruction of the galaxy began in the first Halo game when an alien civilization, known as the Covenant, became determined to wipe out all living species in order to find the road to the Great Journey. This ideal was a religious belief decreed by the Prophets, who were the leaders of the Covenant, and was to be accomplished by finding the array of Halos and launching them against the living. Their first attempt was thwarted by human forces lead by the Master Chief, a military expert, who discovered and destroyed the Halo installation. The next chapter of Halo for Xbox begins.

A second Halo installation is located and conflict ensues. The Arbiter, a disgraced commander in the Covenant forces who is forced to engage in a suicide mission to regain his honor, learns that the Covenant has misled its followers in the belief that the Great Journey exists and the reason they were hunting for the Halos. During this time, the Flood, a terrifying parasitic monster, has been awakened and has become a threat to the whole galaxy. The Arbiter and his fighters, known as the Elites, join forces with humanity to fend off the Covenant combatants and the mind controlled puppets of the Flood. New information given to the Arbiter made him aware that the Covenant planned to launch the Halo network to destroy all living creatures, including their newest enemy in the fight for domination, the Flood. Halo for Xbox continues.

The second Halo has been activated and additional Halo sites are in emergency mode and ready to launch. Planet Earth has been discovered by the Covenant who believe all the secrets to the Halo network are hidden there. Their forces are sent to Earth and annihilate almost all human defenders in the attempt to find the concealed information they seek. The Flood has also invaded Earth to conquer his enemies and take over the galaxy. The only hope to save humanity lies in the capability of the Master Chief, the Arbiter, and the Elite to defeat the Covenant, the Flood, and disable the Halo network.
