Warlock – The Fierce Enemies

Playing a Warlock can bring you loads of fun. They are dark casters that use fire and shadow spells to devastate their opponents.  They basically have powers from ‘the dark side’ which also brings them in touch with demonology. With demonology they can summon powerful demons, for example imps, fel hounds, succubus, infernals and void walkers. With this ability, Warlocks, similar to hunters, are able to have a pet at their side most of the times.

To have a pet near you will make the game easier and will help you avoid damage most of the times. When it comes to their offensive abilities, Warlocks are damage dealers and their main spells, like shadow bolts, can cause a lot of damage. Another ability that contributed to the overall popularity of Locks is “fear”, which is can make their opponents run around for a few seconds without the ability to do anything about it. The Warlock is also well-known for their DoTs aka Damage Over Time spells that can do a great amount of damage during a certain period of time. Click here to watch the video: Warlock Leveling Guide

When he combines his spells and abilities right, a Warlock can become a tuff PvP opponent and one of the highest damage dealers in PvE instances and raids. The basic assignment of a Warlock in PvP is to fear his targets while at the same time he applies dots, while in PvE he is most likely to use his Shadow Bolt.

The Warlock has a large variety of spells and skills. One of the most frequently used skills is to summon a Dark Portal. This portal is frequently used in raids, and with this ability a Lock can summon players from afar to his current location. However, in order for this spell to work, a Warlock will need help from a few other players in his group. The Dark Portal can basically be used similar to the meeting stones that can be found in front of instances.

The Warlock also has the ability to put a Soul Stone on other players as well as on himself. A person who has a Soul Stone on him can easily resurrect if he happens to die. This spell comes very useful because it saves time of corps running and it has a cooldown of 30 minutes. While leveling it is great because the Warlock can keep it on himself all the time and if he is in a party the Soul Stone can be cast on a player that can resurrect others. Warlocks are also known for their ability to produce Health Stones which are used similar as the healing potions but they restore even more health. The Warlock can hand out the Health Stones to others as well and at some point the Warlock will be able to summon a Soul Well where everybody in the party or raid can click on to receive a Health Stone. What is nice about the Health Stones is that they do not share the same cool down as Healing Potions which means that you can use the both of them in a longer fight.

Warlocks are a very fun and interesting class to play. You will be able to summon several different types of demon pets that all have their own unique abilities and fight by your side, you will have devastating spells and spells to fear your enemies, you will have several nice spells that can improve the Warlock’s party or raid’s performance and a lot more. If you would like your char to be a caster with many different abilities, a Warlock is the right choice for you!
