The Mage is an excellent spell caster. They have an unmatched ability to use the magical forces of fire, frost and the arcane. What stength they have with their magic, Mages lack when in comes to combat and melee. Mages have to major limitations, they only wear cloth armor, and have as weapons only wands, daggers, swords and staves. They do however have some really good spells which allow them to destroy enemies at long range rather than getting up close. Other interesting things their magic will allow them is create food and drink from thin air in order to restore their allies and friends and even use portals to travel to distant places instantly. Humans, Gnomes, Undead, Trolls, Draenei, and Blood Elves are the only races that can play as Mages. Now let’s turn our attention in the WoW Mage guide to the strengths and weakness of this class.

Mage Strengths:

One of the major strengths of Mages is that they can use spells to inflict major damage to single and even multiple targets. But, if it’s a losing battle, Mages have two more tricks up their sleeve. Firstly, they can hold off enemies with magic and secondly they’re masters of escape with their Frost Nova, Blink and Ice Armor spells.

As mentioned before, they are fantastic at launching attacks from long distances and avoid taking damage themselves. Also as I mentioned they can travel through portals and even transport other players this way.

Mage Weaknesses:

The Mages lack of armor is the source of one major weakness of this class, making it difficult for them to survive much damage. They are not very good for melee at all so don’t choose the Mage class if you want to melee. Finally, they are great at magic but don’t have any spells that will heal them.

Cool Mage Spells:

As a conclusion to the WoW Mage guide I’ll mention some cool spells. These can help them overcome some of their limitations mentioned earlier.

• Mirror Image- This will created duplicates of you that can then fight in battle.
• Invisibility- Makes you invisible, but only for a short distance.
• Water Elemental- Mages can summon a Water Elemental to fight in battle.
• Ice Block & Ice Barrier- This can make up a little for the lack of armor because it allows them to absorb some damage during battle.
