How to Find Special Items in the World of Warcraft
In WoW, there are special items hidden in different locations that can be extremely useful. These items can be sold at the Auction House or to vendors and they are a great way to make extra money in the game. Here’s a quick guide on how to find special items in the World of Warcraft.
Black Lotus – The Black Lotus can easily be found in Winterspring. The best place to find it is near the cave of the blue dragon. This is the best spot, but you can also find it in the Badlands and the Eastern Plaguelands.
Blood of the Mountain - This can be found in the Dark Nodes in the Searing Mountains by mining. Blood of the Mountain – This would be needed for the coming quests in the game, and would also be useful for those who have almost mastered their professions. It is one of the best-selling items at the auction house.
Dark Runes – If you have any plans of going after only one item, this should be the one. There is a high demand for this item as it is a much needed item. You can get them by killing mobs in Scholo.
Essence of Water – You could find these items in the Felwoods, where the mobs have a very high drop rate, making it a very lucrative find.
Larval Acid – As another must have item, Larval Acids are easy to sell for around 10 gold pieces. By grinding slugs, you could find Larval Acids at the Eastern Plaguelands. The drop rate is actually pretty high, so this is a great way to get gold fast.
Stonescale Eels – These can be pretty hard to find and you’ll need to try to get them late at night for the best results. You can find these on the coasts of Kalimdor. One Stonescale Eel can easily get you 1 gold piece by selling it.
After knowing how to find special items in the World of Warcraft, you’ve got to learn how to sell them. Here are som Auction House tips:
Since you’re going to need to sell these items in the auction house for best results, it’s important to have a good strategy to make the most money. For beginners, you may want to observe for a few days. This will give you an idea of pricing and demand.
I would suggest pricing your items reasonably and at neither a price too high nor too low. There is an auction system which will instantly give a base price for you to decide whether you want to demand a higher or lower price. The best times to schedule your auctions are during high player activity, like, say early evening. You can easily do well at an auction during this time, while the middle of the night can be very slow.
It is not a good strategy to dump all of your items at the auctions house. It can be tempting to want to dump everything you have and move on, but this is not a good strategy. A good strategy would be to start with one or two of your more popular items and combing them with only a few common items. If you don’t saturate the market with what you have, you’ll get a better hand of receiving better prices.
As much as possible, resist the urge to run other players out of the auction by unfairly undercutting their prices. Not only will you win enemies, you may also risk the possibility of doing well at the auction house. This will only increase your chance of gaining enemies. To assure of a better chance of being successful at the auction house, come up with fair prices.
